Christian Endeavour (CE)

Christian Endeavour is a Christ-centred, church based organisation, for children aged up to 14. By participating in what has been termed a ‘do-it yourself’ style weekly meeting and monthly Act of Consecration, they are trained for effective service for Christ and the church. For further information contact the church office.

Where and when?

Juniors (P1 - P7 - Chapel 18:45 to 19:45)
The Junior CE is a do-it-yourself styled organisation where all the boys and girls are encouraged to take part in the meetings. This could be in saying a prayer or a bible reading, taking part in the quiz, leading the meeting and even helping to plan the meetings throughout the year.
There are also other events such as fun days and talent contests that they take part in with other CEs from all over Ireland.
The CE also finishes the year with a weekend trip that is always planned around the May Day weekend for all members in P4 upwards.

Junior High (Year 8 to Year 10 - Wesley Room 18:45 to 19:45)
The Junior High section is a less formal night where the members are encouraged to explore topics that are relevant to them in school, in church or at home. The emphasis is on fellowship and sharing and an open atmosphere is encouraged so that everyone can talk with each other and if necessary with the leaders. Different teaching techniques are used to encourage a self learning environment where no question is too silly and no problem too small. Like the Juniors it is very much a hands on organisation where we aim to help others through such things as taking the junior meeting, making buns etc for the senior citizens or helping round the church however we can.
